The Vine

 ...God is greater than our hearts and knows everything. -first john 3:20

Or put in a more contemporary way - God is greater than any giants we face.

Indeed he is. God's love, comfort, mercy, and grace surpasses anything our mere human minds can comprehend. He loves us so much that he became human to share in our suffering, offering himself as the ultimate living sacrifice ... for us.

And what does he ask in return?

I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. -gospel of john 15:7

We can do nothing. Nothing without allowing Jesus to live in our hearts, to be uppermost in our minds. If we allow his words to guide us - to inform our actions, to help us get thru each day. To transform us - sinners - into shining examples of what Jesus wants for all of us.

We will live. In him, thru him, and with him.

To adore Jesus is to embrace the vine.

To adore Jesus is to bear fruit. The fruit that means compassion, understanding, and love.

Above all things - is love.
